You’ll often find things in nature that have absolutely nothing to do with trading, yet somehow relate perfectly to what we do in the markets.
I came across a short video online and immediately thought about trading.

The video shows a mountain goat being chased by a strong and powerful lion.
The lion picks up speed, focused entirely on catching its target.
But the goat knows the mountain like a map.
It knows the terrain.
It knows where to stop, where to turn, how far it can jump, and which paths it can safely navigate.
The lion is simply chasing.
It’s focused on the reward in front of it, without paying attention to the pitfalls ahead.
And that’s trading in a nutshell.
Most retail traders are chasing profits without truly understanding the market they’re trading.
They see a big tasty meal but forget that they only have so much capital to risk, and that their first objective should be to survive another day.
They let go of the risk factor.
They fail to adapt to the ever-changing environment.
They become blinded by the reward in sight and chase money.
