Step 1. Be Realistic

Many retail traders are obsessed with making millions. Between social media pressures and the allure of a flashy lifestyle, they often forget the most fundamental principle of success: learning to walk before you run.

I frequently get emails from traders asking if they can make 500 to 1000 dollars a day using my strategies. But the real question should not be about how much you can make, it is in fact about learning to trade the right way first.

 

If you truly want to make a living from trading, I recommend starting small. Aim to make $100 first to prove to yourself that you can do this. Even $50 a day consistently for 20 days adds up to $1000 dollars a month. Are you yawning? How about an extra $12,000 dollars a year..

Nothing is stopping you from compounding your results, but the key is to start with achievable goals and move forward slowly and steadily.

Another common mistake is trying to trade alongside the big players: large institutions, algos, and market manipulators. Think about it: what are your chances of surviving in the ocean versus a backyard pool if you don't know how to swim? You simply cannot compete with the sharks using pocket change and zero trading skills, it's totally ridiculous!

For beginners, and I mean anyone who has yet to make consistent profits. So, if you've spent 5 or 10 years trading without success, you are still a beginner because you have not yet mastered consistency. I recommend you to start trading the Asian session, it's much easier to trade in a non-volatile environment then swimming in the ocean with sharks.
