Trading Slow Grinding Market

A slow grinding market this morning during Globex.
Market traded within a 2 point range majority of the time i.e. 8 to 10 ticks of range movement.
​
A difficult day for anyone to not get caught repeatedly anticipating a turn, however I still managed to pull a profit after a long 2 hour trading session with 3 intra-day drawdowns.
​
Notice my win rate today is just above 50% but I still managed to end the day on a positive note. A common mis-conception among traders is that when scalping you aim for 1:1 trades and therefore you require a very high win rate, this is untrue because otherwise I would be in the negative today after paying those hefty commissions for the 280 round-turn contracts.

As much as I love trading for 70% to 100% win rate, there are days like this when market is not easy to read. You must remain calm and not lose emotional control, the biggest reason why traders lose money is when they allow anger and frustration to takeover.
